This fall the fish were definitely being picky. The limited number of fish and the amount of fishing pressure meant that the usual attractor flies weren\u2019t always working. A couple things often help in this scenario. One thing that often works is to fish natural patterns with limited flash. Another trick is to downsize your flies. This fly is a spin off of one of Kevin\u2019s great patterns, the Inside Bender. It\u00a0combines subtle colors and a short slim profile. This has definitely been one of the more productive flies for me throughout the last few months.<\/p>\n

Shank:\u00a0<\/strong>3\/4\u201d Shank with a loop of Braid.<\/p>\n

Eyes:\u00a0<\/strong>Gold Plastic Bead Chain.<\/p>\n

Tail:\u00a0<\/strong>Grey Olive Craft Fur.<\/p>\n

Wing:\u00a0<\/strong>Light Olive Barred Soft Hackle tied to lay flat over the Craft Fur.<\/p>\n

Body:\u00a0<\/strong>A large clump of Dark Olive Creepy Crawly Ice Dub tied in as clump and folded back so the loose ends face backwards.<\/p>\n

Flash:\u00a0<\/strong>A small amount of Holographic Brown Flashabou.<\/p>\n

Head:\u00a0<\/strong>Light Olive Ice Dub tied in as a clump.<\/p>\n
