Muskegon River Fishing Report:

The Muskegon has risen to 1500 CFS after recent rains.    Water temps are fluctuating in the 60s.     Salmon are available in the system, and the trout fishing is becoming more productive as temperatures drop as well.  Trout can be taken on eggs around the salmon.   Scuds, midge patterns, and other small patterns are also good bets.    You may still find some sporadic surface activity with tan caddis and blue winged olives.    There are some steelhead available.    These fish can be taken around the salmon or on swung flies.
